*****  NewBridge is mistreatment
by Berkeley Girl on February 18th, 2009
on New Bridge Foundation
Do not go to NewBridge for drug and alcohol treatment. It is a program of mistreatment. There is very little recovery there. Most of the clients are either military and were sent there for drinking incidents but don't actually think they have a drinking problem (yes, NB has a military contract with Tristar Insurance) or avoiding a jail sentence (yes, NB has a county contract). Do yourself a favor and try real recovery at MPI in Oakland or Waldenhouse. Just about anywhere else will give you better treatment (I mean this in general and the addiction treatment part). For crying out load, some of the councilors at NB have less then 5 years clean time. I wouldn't want one of them for a sponcor let alone as a paid professional.

*****  my experience
by Marliqua on January 16th, 2009
on Brookhaven Hospital
Well, guess it beats being on the streets, but my experience is things are pretty laid back. Most of the staff and employees are so involved in their romantic relationship dramas they dont pay much attention to the patients. The man in charge believes everyone there is an idiot and you can sometimes see him yell and scream at the staff at times, quite entertaining.
*****  Beware
by Lily on January 2nd, 2009
on Wessel, Barbara MAC
I was referred to Dr. ****** to see Ms ******. Ms. Wessel diagnosed me with Post Traumatic Stress and said that I needed to see her 3 times a week. After my mother passed away she said I should come every day which I did for 18 months. After spending 100K I found out that she is not licensed nor has a Bachelors or Masters Degree. There are three other clients that have stopped seeing her and we all go to Dr. Ritchie. My new therapist even wrote a letter to her organization CAADAC stating her wrong doing. Ms. ****** is someone who hurts vunerable patients.
*****  CATS is great
by a new man with a new life on August 15th, 2008
on Center for Assessment & Treatment Services
The staff at The Center for Assessment & Treatment Services (we call them CATSinc) are great. They taught me alot about my addictions, hooked me up with NA and even met with me and my wife together to help us get through the rough part of first getting clean. Money was tight so they worked with me and set us up a payment plan. Months after I graduated I was having some problems after a death in the family and stopped by their office. My counselor took the time to listen and helped me get hooked up with a therapist to deal with it. If you are having problems with drugs or alcohol this is the place to go.

Addiction Treatment Centers

Addiction is responsible for ruining many people lives. There are countless numbers of additions, but common additions include drugs, alcohol, gambling, food, gaming, and smoking. Common drug additions include cocaine, crack, marijuana, methamphetamines, vicodin, crystal method, and other prescription pills. While most people think they can overcome their additions if they can find self help advice, the best self help you can get is to seek a professional addiction center. Please review your addiction center experiences so you can help others beat their additions.
